Cyclist injured in posable hit and run in Cork

Gardai are seeking witnesses after a 32-year-old woman who was cycling was found seriously injured on the side of the road by a passerby.

She was found at Glen South, Naad, Kanturk at around 5.30pm yesterday and taken to University Hospital Cork with serious injuries.

A Garda statement issued this morning said that scene is being preserved pending a technical examination and local diversions are in place. The road has now reopened according to the AA Roadwatch.

  1. I hope she recovers from her injuries fully and there are no hindrance to her enjoying Cycling again. This sort of thing can be a terrible shock to someone and they might not get over the Psychological shock of it. I hope this culprit is caught fast and does major Gaol time for their Crime instead of the Judge just letting them off with a measly fine and suspended sentence.
