NEWS IN BRIEF: Dublin City Council is to seek interested companies to apply for a stationless bicycle share licence.
As we reported at the start of March, the second licence to run stationless bicycle share in Dublin City is up for grabs after the second licence holder was “not in a position to commence operations.”
The council said on its website: “Dublin City Council is now inviting potential operators to an information session on Tuesday 9th April 2019 at 11.00hrs in the Liffey Room of Wood Quay Venue, Civic Offices, Dublin 8. The Council will outline policies, procedures and timeframes for granting of a licence and permits at this meeting.”
Dublin City uses a hybrid system where stationless bikes must be locked to official bicycle parking stands.
