CAMPAIGN: Over 3,200 people and counting are calling for Liffey Cycle Route to be trialed in 2020, rather than waiting years more after another delay with the project.
It follows the news that the route — which was voted by councillors to be put into the Dublin City Development Plan in 2010 to be built by 2017 — is now delayed until 2024 at the earliest.
Residents, commuters and visitors to Dublin can show their support for the trial by signing and sharing the petition — it is on my.uplift.ie and can be also reached using the easier to remember shortcut link: LiffeyCycle.com.
The petition is supported by local campaign groups I Bike Dublin and the Dublin Cycling Campaign, Dublin Commuter Coalition, by the national umbrella campaign group Cyclist.ie, and also by this news website, IrishCycle.com.
