Liffey Cycle Route: Here’s what’s planned on Dublin’s quays

COMMENT & ANALYSES: Planning of the Liffey Cycle Route has been trudging on since after it was proposed in 2010, so, it’s understandable many people think something is better than nothing. But the new plans will in many ways make things worse and by leaving conflict points unprotected will lull people into danger. After further delay, IrishCycle.com set up the LiffeyCycle.com petition calling for a trial of a continuous route which would disrupt cars but would be worth it — the new proposals by the council are far from continuous.
