Campaign group I Bike Dublin, which has held a large number of cycle lane protection protests across the city, including a number at this location, said: “This is a wonderful day. Thank you Dublin City Council!”
“We ran 3 lane protections here last summer — this belongs to every one of you who stood on the line as buses whizzed by,” the group said on Twitter.
They added: “Kudos too to Dublin Cycling Campaign who’ve pursued this through their own campaigning and Cllrs who’ve advocated.”
