Challenge aims to make Dublin’s active travel data come to life

NEWS IN BRIEF: Over €2,000 in prize money is to be won in the Dublin Region Open Data Active Travel Challenge by teams who can make pedestrian and cycling data come to life.

The Smart Dublin said: “The Dublin Region Open Data Active Travel Challenge is looking for innovative ideas to use open data to encourage and support active travel. Competition participants have an opportunity to showcase their work, achieve recognition and cash prizes, and potentially make a positive impact on how people circulate around this city region.”

Smart Dublin said that entry is open to individuals and groups of all ages and backgrounds through completing a short application form. Closing date for entries is March 30th 2021 at noon.

Smart Dublin is a collaboration of Dublin City Council, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, Fingal County Council and South Dublin County Council. And the challenge is also supported by other groups. For further details, see smartdublin.ie.
