Cork City Council closes cycle tracks with “No communication, no advance warning, no updates”

Cork City Council today closed new and old cycle tracks on Albert Quay with “No communication, no advance warning, no updates”.

Cork Cycling Campaign said: “Even the old existing cycle lanes are being closed off. No communication, no advance warning, no updates.”

As of 9pm, Cork City Council has yet to respond to a request for comment made before lunchtime today.

UPDATED: The barriers were removed at some stage between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning, without any explanation:
