Work of filmmaker, cycling advocate Paddy Cahill to be showcased in Limerick

The Limerick Cycling Campaign has said it is to celebrate the work and advocacy of the late filmmaker Paddy Cahill at an event on November 24.

The event is to showcase a collection of his short films on urban cycling in Dublin and Amsterdam, along with input on the night from friends and collaborators.

When Cahill died from an illness in hospital earlier this year there was a flood of tributes from cycling, filmmaking and architectural circles. He lived in Dublin after growing up near Shannon, Co Clare and studying in Limerick.

The Limerick Cycling Campaign said: “We’re very excited to host a showing of some of the late Paddy Cahill’s work in Limerick on the 24th of this month in Belltable. Paddy was a documentary maker, cycling advocate & community activist involved in urbanism, city design and architecture.”

The event is to be held at the Belltable in Limerick on Wednesday, November 24 at 8pm. Tickets can be bought for €8 online.
