A reader told this website that the issue is being discussed on a local community Facebook group and that “most people seem delighted that Waterways Ireland have done this with lots of supportive comments from parents with buggies, people with disabilities, pedestrians and cyclists”, but that “there are the usual minority scaremongering about scramblers.”
