Two men who were cycling were hospitalised after separate collisions with motorists in Cork City in the last two days.

Yesterday, a man cycling a bicycle was hospitalised after a collision with a motorist driving a car on Lough Road in Cork City.

The Garda Press Office said: “Gardaí attended the incident of a two-vehicle road traffic Collison between a car and a cyclist, on the Lough Road, Co. Cork at approximately 9.00am on Wednesday 27th April 2022. One male (Cyclist) was taken to Cork University Hospital.”

Gardai said that investigations are ongoing.

It was the second reported such incident within two days in Cork City.

On Tuesday, CorkBeo.ie reported that there was a collision between a motorist and a man cycling on the Skehard road at 4.35pm and the man was rushed to hospital.
