There’s still some on-going work on the Passage Greenway in Cork, but the section of the greenway which had been the longest closed for works is open again. Relaxycle posted the following video clips:
Despite the experience people on bicycles have being injured by slipping on train and tram tracks, it was thought that placing tracks embedded into the greenway surface was the best location for an ode to the greenway’s past use:
The rails embedded in the surface are a slip hazard and the pinch point between those ramps is a dangerous conflict zone with users entering the zone from four (!) different directions: Both greenway directions, the ramp on the right, and the steps on the left. pic.twitter.com/PEKZjuYkYm

And the new ramps also seem to be a ‘feature’ that people are talking about, questioning why the council did not revamp the old ramps at the end of the station platforms instead of taking up so much space on the greenway path:
