‘DJ on a Bike’ to perform drum and bass cycling gig on Dublin’s streets this Sunday

Dom Whiting — known as the ‘DJ on a Bike’ — is set to perform a drum and base cycling gig on Dublin’s streets this Sunday, August 14 from 2pm.

The UK-based DJ has previously performed in locations such as Berlin, Brussels, Birmingham, Manchester, Brighton, Southampton, Bristol, and Swansea, and Sheffield.

Whiting cycles a cargo trike with his decks — “Basically mate, one day I decided to bolt the decks to my bike.. and that’s it really” he says on Twitter — , and supporters carry speakers on cargo bikes or on back packs among the crowd.,

His cycling gig — a type of ‘critical mass’ cycle — is set leave from outside the Hugh Lane Gallery at Parnell Square North at 2pm on Sunday.

According to a map posted online, the group will cycle down O’Connell Street, down the quays a loop around the Camden Street area, then a loop around the liberties before going back down the quays to as far as the Samuel Beckett Bridge and into Grand Canal Square.
