A man in his 20s, who was cycling at the time, was injured in collision involving car driver on N11.
A spokesperson at the Garda Press Office said: “Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the N11 in Cabinteely on Thursday, 14th November 2024.”
Gardaí said that the emergency services were alerted to the collision involving a car and e-bike on the N11 at the junction with Johnstown Road shortly before 5pm.
A spokesperson said: “The cyclist, a man aged in his 20s, was seriously injured. He was conveyed by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin where his condition is understood to be serious.”
Gardaí said that the scene is preserved for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and traffic diversions are in place.
Witnesses or any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
