Webinar to cover Dublin City’s plan that is enabling move to a low-traffic city centre

A one-hour webinar this Wednesday will cover the progress on the Dublin City Centre Transport Plan, with the speakers expected to go through how the plan was developed, the key measures and how the first elements rolled out last year are performing.

The plan is part of a vision — voted on by councillors as part of the Dublin City Development Plan process — for a low-traffic city centre with more space given over to sustainable transport and public spaces.

The free webinar will have three guest speakers who are involved with the plan — Brendan O’Brien, executive manager of traffic at Dublin City Council; Claire French, senior executive engineer who is also with the council, and Eoin Farrell, senior land use and transport planner at the National Transport Authority.

The online event will take place at 12 midday on Wednesday, February 19th, and is hosted by Engineers Ireland with registration at engineersireland.ie.
