The cycles in the capitals north and south, which includes cargo bicycles with speakers pumping out music, are known to get a positive reaction from people around each city’s central areas on the last Friday of each month.
In Dublin, I Bike Dublin, an advocacy group and the organiser of the event, said: “If you enjoyed our cycle along Strand Road last week or feel you missed out on the fun, join us next Friday 25th April for our monthly #IBIKEBop.”
The group said: “Meet at 6pm on Parnell Square North for an hour-long, music-filled, leisurely cycle around the city, finishing at Barnardo’s Square [Dame St] at 7pm.”
While in Belfast, the Belfast Cycling Campaign, said: “Last Friday of the month already? That means it’s time for #CriticalMass!”
The group said they meet at the Big Fish at 6.15pm and ends at the Brink, the group address that all are welcome.
