Emergency services attended a collision involving a person cycling a bicycle and a motorist driving a truck at the Moneen Roundabout in Castlebar this morning.
The cyclist was transferred to Mayo University Hospital but the extent of their injuries is unconfirmed at this time.
A spokesperson at the Garda Press Office said: “Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision at the Moneen Roundabout in Castlebar, Co Mayo.”
“The collision involving a truck and a bike occurred at approximately 8.30am this morning, Thursday 11th July 2024,” the spokesperson said.
They added that “no serious injuries have been reported at this time.”
