Campaigns

The following are campaigns in which IrishCycle.com has led or taken part in. IrishCycle.com is mainly about journalism and these are in line with the old tradition of campaigning journalism, such as the high-profile The Guardian’s Keep it in the Ground campaign or The Times’ Cities Fit For Cycling campaign.

CyclingForAll.ie

A national campaign calling for politicians of all parties to support infrastructure for cycling for all ages and abilities, and to have 20% of capital transport funding to be spent on walking and cycling.

OLDER CAMPAIGNS:

Clontarf Cycle Route

IrishCycle.com pushed for higher standards of segregation on the route which originally included people cycling mixing with buses etc.

Liffey Cycle Route

IrishCycle.com campaigned for a continuous route along the Liffey.
