I live near that… It can be a horribly busy roundabout and I don’t particularly like driving through it at peak times, never mind cycling around it.
Legally speaking, what are you supposed to do in this situation? Continue on the footpath, or hop down into the slip lane, or cut across the slip and onto the roundabout seem to be the only options here. None of which is particularly safe!
Go onto the road.
Using the footpath is not legal unless there’s a shared use sign.
