A teenager was airlifted to hospital this evening after a collision between the teenager, who was cycling a bicycle, and a motorist driving a car in Ballina, Co Mayo.
“Gardaí are investigating a road traffic collision that occurred on the Sligo Road, Ballina, County Mayo this evening, Wednesday October 12, 2016 at approximately 5.20pm. A male juvenile cyclist was struck by a car,” said Sergeant Alan Frawley of the Garda press office.
“He was taken to Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar with non life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported. No arrests have been made,” said Sergeant Frawley.
