Lombard Street cycle lane bollards will be replaced after resurfacing work

NEWS IN BRIEF: Bollards on the new Lombard Street contra-flow cycle lane will be replaced after resurfacing work is finished on the street, Dublin City Council has said.

Members of the public had expressed confusion and disappointment that the bollards were removed so soon after the new bicycle traffic lights were switched on at the southern end of the street, where it joins with Pearse St and Westland Row.

A spokesman for Dublin City Council said: “The bollards were temporarily removed to allow the rest of the road to be resurfaced, they will be replaced once this work is complete later this week.
