Here’s a sneak preview of the 1.8km greenway between Baldoyle and Portmarnock which allows people walking and cycling to avoid the busy Coast Road.

The works which are nearly finished include a three-metre wide cycletrack and two-metre wide footpath separated by a 2.4-metre wide grass verge, with short sections of shared used paths at, before at after a bridge at a pinch point and road crossings.
The route is part of the south selection of the planned Fingal Costal Way which will link Newbridge Demesne, Donabate, Rush, Loughshinny, Skerries and Balbriggan. It will also go south of Baldoyle to Sutton and link with the partly built Sutton to Sandycove route along Dublin Bay.
