Cork Cargo Bike Open Day this Sunday

— Local users to explain the joys of cargo bicycles to potential users.

NEWS IN BRIEF: Cork Cargo Bike Open Day is planned to take place this Sunday, July 26, at 11am on the pedestrianised Marina.

Organisers said online that social distancing and masks are required. It is support by Cork Healthy Cities, Playful Paradigm, Irish Doctors for the Environment, I Bike Cork and Pedestrian Cork.

The event will include Open for Play with street chalking.

The event was originally due to take place in March and is now rescheduled for Sunday. Previously, Cork-based cargo bicycle owner Tom Hennessy said: “Cargo bike owners will be down the Marina showing off their bicycles. If you’re considering a move to cargo then this is the perfect opportunity talk to those who have already made the move.”
