This year’s international Walk21 conference is to be held in Dublin by the Technological University Dublin, in partnership with the Government, on September 19-23.
The organisers are currently calling for local contributions up until March 7, they said: “It’s an opportunity for Ireland to showcase the innovative steps being taken to support people walking and inspire other countries to action.”
According to the organisers: “The goal for the coming weeks is to encourage leading advocates, academics, thought leaders, community and youth leaders, planners, health and built environment practitioners and politicians to apply to present. Engaging a diverse and dynamic body of speakers from all corners of Ireland will ensure an event that is both meaningful for local agendas and grows momentum for our communities.”
