Dublin’s Parliament Street to be motor traffic free for three evenings every week this Summer

NEWS IN BRIEF: Parliament Street will be traffic free every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening for the Summer, Dublin City Council has said.

Dublin City Council said: “Starting on the 21st July and running till the end of August, Parliament Street will be traffic free every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening.”

Parliament Street was part of the original motor traffic-free trial which led to Capel Street being made car-free with deliveries allowed in the mornings.

The trials were incorrectly reported in media outlets as being pedestrianisation trials, when cycling was allowed and continues to be allowed on the now permanently car-free Capel Street.
