A cycle lane protest was held in Dublin’s Harold’s Cross this morning to highlight constant illegal parking.
The protest was organised by cycling campaigners with I Bike Dublin:
Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning in Harold's Cross – making our streets a little bit safer for people cycling & scooting. Good to see so many friends, old and new! pic.twitter.com/PVb5EmPUqw

thank you @IBIKEDublin, It was fantastic to see some much support!! something needs to be done to improve the cycling infrastructure in Harold's Cross! there are 5 schools in the area and no safe cycling for the children. Speed limit is at 50km/h with plenty of cars speeding! https://t.co/NwScgMRfQm pic.twitter.com/PaxzofqEHs

Unfortunately, literally anywhere else was fair game for the usual crowd. pic.twitter.com/6nLS1wj3Sq
Great to see neighbours, parents and kids joining in to protect vulnerable cyclists of all ages on this dangerous school road @ Harold’s Cross. @IBIKEDublin were just brilliant – thank you! pic.twitter.com/Y0osfLeEXi

Great to be back on the line with @IBIKEDublin this morning. Only regret is that it’s necessary at all. Good community spirit in Harolds X this morning with lots of people going about their morning a little more safely at this location at least.#FreeTheCycleLanes #PeopleProtected pic.twitter.com/uS3jzxO58R

Vans and other vehicles are always parking in the cycle lane outside that shop (last pic) at rush hour. Always. Enforcing what the signs say should not be hard for DCC. In fact compared with other matters, it would be relatively easy.
Is that a van parked even during the protest? Brazen or what?
