Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council councillors have approve the Part 8 planning for the DLR Central active travel project.
After public consultations and what one councillor described as “a robust 2.5 hour debate”, councillors voted vote of 34-2 and 4 abstained.
The debate can be watched back already dlrcoco.public-i.tv.
Cllr Oisín O’Connor (Greens) said: “Great news that this really ambitious project was resoundingly approved tonight by a vote of 34-2 (4 abstentions).”
He added: “After an extensive consultation and a robust 2.5 hour debate, the commitment we’ve all made to road safety and cleaner air was kept to by most councillors.”
