Woman on bicycle injured in a collision involving car driver in Cork

A woman in her 40s who was cycling in Cork yesterday was taken to Cork University Hospital after sustaining injuries in a collision involving a driver of a car.

The collision happened at Wilton Road, at the Wilton Roundabout, beside the hospital.

The Garda Press Office confirmed that there was a “road traffic collision between a car and a pedal cyclist on Monday 5th December 2022 at approximately 12:35 at Wilton Road, Bishopstown, Co. Cork.”

The Garda spokesperson said: “The pedal cyclist, a female aged in her 40s, was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment of her injuries which are believed to be non-life threatening. Investigations ongoing.”
