Bloomberg Initiative for Cycling Infrastructure offers cities grants, mentorship and knowledge sharing

NEWS IN BRIEF: The Bloomberg Initiative for Cycling Infrastructure is offering cities across the world to apply for grants, mentorship and knowledge sharing.

The initiative is under the umbrella of Bloomberg Philanthropies and stems from Mike Bloomberg’s time as Mayor of New York City when significant progress was made on starting to transform streets to more people-friendly places.

The winning cities will receive grants of $400k USD to $1M USD for ambitious cycling infrastructure projects; technical assistance from the Global Designing Cities Initiative; training for city leaders on data collection, resident engagement and other industry best practices; and connecting cities with a global network of peers.

The deadline to apply is February 3, 2023 and details can be found at bloombergcities.jhu.edu.
