Bike Week 2023 — a celebration of cycling and the overuse of the phrase ‘on your bike’ — starts on Saturday, May 13 and runs until Sunday, May 21, with events all around the country.

The following is just a selection of the Bike Week events this weekend:
Cork on Saturday:
Wheel of Times talk which is aimed at all that want to learn about cycling in Cork back in the old days. It starts 2pm at Elizabeth Fort Cork, while the photos can be viewed from 11am to 3pm.
Dublin on Saturday:
Short Community Cycle on the Dodder Greenway Firhouse Section, meeting at the Carpark opposite the Speaker Connolly at 10.30am. Children get a medal and a goodie bag. Book here.
Dublin on Saturday:
Family Fun Day at Millennium Park from 12-4pm in Millennium Park, Blanchardstown.
Dublin on Sunday:
Inclusive Cycling Come & Try Day at Phoenix Park which is described as “A chance for children and adults with additional physical and intellectual needs to try out a trishaw, wheelchair bike or adapted cycle in a safe environment.” It runs from 12-3pm at the Phoenix Monument in the park. You can book a slot here.
Limerick on Sunday:
Family Bike Parade and Fun Day. Hosted by Limerick City and County Council the cycle and fun day will run from 2pm to 4pm starting at Arthurs Quay Park.
Galway on Sunday:
Family Bike & Cargo Bike Festival will run 11am to 2pm at Toft Park, Salthill.
Cork on Sunday:
Cargo & Inclusive Bike Open Day on Grand Parade will include music, fun games, cargo and adapted bike info, chalk art, bike doctor and free goodies. It kicks off at 1pm.
Sligo on Sunday:
Cycling Blitz Family Fun Day will run from 12noon at Cleveragh Park Sligo.
