Gardai are investigating a collision between two people who were cycling on the Crumlin Road on Sunday afternoon last — the incident involved an 11-year-old boy, who was injured, and another person who failed to remain at the scene.

A spokesperson at the Garda Press Office said: Gardaí at Sundrive Road were alerted shortly before 3pm on Sunday 18th June following reports of two cyclists colliding on the Crumlin Road, Dublin 12. One of the cyclists, an 11-year-old boy, was taken to hospital for medical treatment.”

The Garda spokesperson added: “It’s understood the second cyclist failed to remain at the scene. Enquires into the incident are ongoing.”

Both Gardai and the Dublin Fire Brigade attended the aftermath of the collision.
