The part-opening of a cycle path on Childers Road in Limerick has been welcomed locally.
The Twitter account Limerick Urban Cycling, who posted the below video, said: “When this is complete it will link the Hyde Road, Ballinacurra Weston, Janesboro, Southill, etc to a world class university and it brilliant sporting facilities.”
They added: “No need to wait for a bus or get a lift from your parents. Great opportunities for lots of people, young and old.”
Local TD Brian Leddin (Green Party) welcomed the building of the cycle path. He said: “Great progress from Limerick’s active travel team. Well done.”
