Bike Week events running across Ireland until Sunday

The National Transport Authority is reminding members of the public to check out BikeWeek.ie for a county-by-county listing of events running across Ireland until Sunday May 19th.

The authority said that some of the highlights yet to happen include a Sunset Cyle in the Phoenix Park, the Wheels of Athenry – Athenry Cyclefest, a Children’s Cycle Treasure Hunt in Donegal, the Pedal Parade and Cycle show in Cavan, the Spin to Zen and Spin to Beach sessions in Sligo, the opportunity to join Try-A-Tri in Mayo, a Bike Week Photo Competition in Roscommon, and a Spinning Sixties Cycle in Limerick.

Anne Graham, CEO of the National Transport Authority, said: “Bike Week 2024 is a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to come together and promote cycling as a sustainable and healthy form of transportation..

She said: “The diverse events happening across the country, organised by our colleagues in the Local Authorities and Local Sports Partnerships ensure there is something suitable for everyone to enjoy. Whether it’s a bike festival, a community cycle or an information session, I encourage everyone to take part and help build a bike-friendly society for all.”
