A 55-year-old woman on a bicycle was seriously injured when she was struck by a bus last night at 9.40pm in Dublin, Gardai said this morning.
Officers are appealing for witnesses following the traffic collision on Burlington Road, Dublin.
Garda Sean Mac Seoin said: At approximately 2140hrs a 55-year-old female cyclist was seriously injured when she was struck by a bus. The collision occurred on the Burlington Road. She was taken from the scene by ambulance to St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Her condition is understood to be serious. The scene of the incident was examined by Garda forensic collision investigators. Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.”

UPDATE: Woman dies two days after bus-bicycle collision in Dublin
I hope she makes a full and speedy recovery.
Sadly she died and was buried today.
There’s just too much carnage on the roads. Can we have just a little law enforcement? I think it would make such a huge difference.
