Two children knocked off bicycle in collision with SUV driver in Tipperary

— 10-year-old boy airlifted to Temple St with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Two children were knocked off a bicycle in collision with SUV driver in Tipperary yesterday, according to the Gardai.

Celine Ross at the Garda press office said: “Gardaí and emergency services attended a road traffic collision at Moyne, Thurles, Tipperary. The incident involving a jeep and two youths on a pedal cycle, occurred on the 19th August 2019 at approximately 5.50pm.

She added: “A 6-year-old male was taken to Clonmel Hospital in a stable condition and a 10-year-old male was airlifted to Temple St with serious but non-life threatening injuries.”

Local media website tipperarylive.ie reported: “It is believed that they were on their bicycles and came out of a driveway and were hit by a car being driven by a local woman.
