WATCH: What was the vision for cycling in Dublin in 2005?

Last year Dublin hosted Velo-City, an international cycling conference, but it was’t the first time. Back in 2005, when Dublin first hosted the conference, US presenter John Z Wetmore interviewed conference attendees including getting the local perspective at the time.

Included in the video below is interviews with Michael Aherne of the National Transport Authority (then the Dublin Transportation Office), who has been involved for decades in cycling planning, and veteran Dublin Cycling Campaign member Damien O’Tuama:
