Brexit isn’t stopping progress on a shared walking and cycling route between Strabane in County Tyrone in Northern Ireland and Lifford in County Donegal in the Republic of Ireland.
Images below show progress on the 3.5km route between Lifford to Strabane project which is route 3 of the North West Greenway Network.
It is part of a wider North West Greenway Network project planned by Derry City and Strabane District Council and Donegal County Council which is intended to span 46.5km of cross-border greenways, which will also include routes between Derry to Buncrana and Derry city centre to Muff in County Donegal.
BREAKNG NEWS: Lifford to Strabane. Route 3 of the @SEUPB-funded #greenway project has advanced considerably. Finished surfacing is now being applied to sections of the route. It remains on schedule to be completed by summer 2021. Fantastic news for commuters in these towns! pic.twitter.com/8NRB5P9LRi
