Sean Moore Road’s cycle route is now open for use, with a further connection opening soon, Dublin City Council has said.
Dublin City Council said: “The new protected cycle lane on Sean Moore Road is now open! Works to complete the connection with Pigeon House Road will be completed shortly.”
Pigeon House Road last year had bollards installed to cut rat running while still allowing local motoring access, which means there is generally a lower volume of traffic on the road and this makes it safer for walking and cycling.
The Sean Moore Road cycle route was also due to link to the Strand Road cycle path trial but that route is subject to a High Court ruling, which the council is appealing.
