4km family-friendly cycle planned in Blackrock on Sunday

NEWS IN BRIEF: A 4km family-friendly cycle through Blackrock Park, past Booterstown marsh to Merrion Gates and back again is planned tomorrow (Sunday) October 6th.

The cycle is part of the Festival of Inclusion 2019 and is hosted by the DLR Branch of the Dublin Cycling Campaign and Cycling Without Age, with support from Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council.

The organisers said: “Join us for a fun community cycle through Blackrock Park, past Booterstown marsh to Merrion Gates and back again. A leisurely 4km cycle for all ages and abilities. A reward awaits all those who complete the full loop! The cycle will start and finish at the Blackrock Park bandstand.”

They added: “All ‘cycles’ welcome: bikes, balance bikes, trishaws, rickshaws, trikes, recumbents, e-bikes, cargo bikes & more! There will be marshals on the day to keep the group safe for the on-road section. All participants under 18 should be under parent/guardian supervision.”
